“I will try to go on for your beloved grandchildren and especially for you who would never want to see me so grieved. Even if without you, I miss the ground under my feet.”

Nicolodi was born in Florence but moved to Rome to find greener pastures, and that was the start of her acting career.
Asia was born to Nicolodi during her marriage to talented Italian director Dario Argento. Together, the former couple co-wrote the 1977 film, “Suspira,” but the late actress couldn’t star in it due to an injury.
She, however, featured in a couple of his movies including, “Inferno,” “Deep Red,” “Opera,” “Phenomena,” and “Tenebrae.” They separated in 1985. Tributes have since poured in from Hollywood stars, including Edgar Wright and actress Barbara Crampton.
Nicolodi was born in Florence but moved to Rome to find greener pastures, and that was the start of her acting career. It began with appearances on television shows in the 1960s, and by the next decade, she had broken into movies. She was survived by daughters Asia, Anna Ceroli, and two granddaughters.
Nicolodi joins the long list of stars we have lost in 2020, including Alex Trebek, Nikki McKibbin, Sean Connery, Conchata Ferrell, Eddie Van Halen, and many more. May the souls of the departed rest in peace.
