The culinary expert who shared four kids with his wife Lisa made it known that he was grateful for all the “extra family time.” As he celebrated the occasion, Buddy took his mind off the unpleasant hand injury that almost rendered his fingers limp.
[Valastro’s] injury would not stop his Christmas special show, “Buddy Vs Christmas” which was already filmed before the unfortunate incident occured.
Back in September, it was a different ball game for the Valastro family after the patriarch suffered a terrifying injury when he tried fixing the pinstetter in his home’s bowling alley.
His right hand got stuck in the machine and a metal road continually impaled Buddy’s hand leaving him with multiple wounds. The Food Network star underwent three surgeries, after which he experienced numbness on the affected hand.
In an earlier interview, the star chef gave updates on his recovery journey while gushing over how helpful Lisa was. Buddy who shared that he and Lisa have been together for decades noted that the recovery period has brought them closer. He stated candidly in the chat:
“My wife has been amazing… After you have an injury like this, and your wife helps you dry you out of the shower, that crosses another level. You get to really know each other…”
While he is recuperating from surgery, the reality star’s TV network, TLC, is gearing to give fans a detailed look into how Buddy’s injury came about and how he has been coping and working on recovery.
Thankfully, the amazing food expert’s injury would not stop his Christmas special show, “Buddy Vs Christmas” which was already filmed before the unfortunate incident occurred.
In an interview with ET, the 43-year-old was candid as he discussed his future with pastries. He noted that he was not working ready to retire from his job but it will take many months for a full recovery.
