Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively Generously Donate $500K to Canadian Charities Helping Vulnerable Youth
Ryan Reynolds and his wife Blake Lively warmed the heart of fans after it was reported that the couple donated $500k to Canadian charities helping homeless youth.
Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively recently extended their hand of support to some Canadian charities helping homeless youths. In an act of generosity to homeless youths, the couple donated $250k to both Covenant House Vancouver and Covenant House Toronto.
Reynolds has been a long time supporter of Covenant House and believes in supporting vulnerable youths. The house revealed in a lengthy Instagram caption that Renoylds' donation was a way of encouraging others to spread love to the homeless youths.

Giving to Covenant House is not a gift, according to the Canadian-American actor, but an investment in compassion and empathy that he believes the world needs more of.
Reynolds went on to state that Covenant House serves the needs of young people who have escaped both physical, mental, and sexual violence. By donating to them, he encouraged other individuals to show some kindness.
Krista Thompson, Covenant House Vancouver CEO, noted that Reynolds and Lively's support means a lot to them because the couple can relate to the homeless youth's particular needs.
The couple said they were excited to be a part of the journey of empowering women.
The 44-year-old actor and his wife have been actively involved in charity over the last few months. The couple has always stressed the importance of giving back to society.
Earlier this year, the "Deadpool" actor and his fellow actor wife reached out to those who have been affected by the novel coronavirus pandemic and had suffered some form of loss.
Via his social media accounts, Reynolds announced that he and his wife, Lively, would contribute $1 million to two food bank organizations in the United States and Canada.
Reynolds encouraged people to show support to these organizations because COVID-19 had affected older adults and low-income families.
In June, the couple made a huge donation of about $200,000 to an indigenous women leadership initiative. The couple said they were excited to be a part of the journey of empowering women.
According to reports, to help protest the death of George Floyd, the couple donated $200,000 to the NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of Colored People) Legal Defense Fund
Reynolds said that he was using his platform to stand as an ally against racism. The actor and his wife are some of Hollywood's stars who know the importance of giving back.
