A VOICE OF HOPE
Union wasn't only blessed with beauty and brains, but also a good heart. This year, she was named one of Time Magazine's 100 Most Influential People of 2020 for her philanthropic efforts and advocacies.
Upon looking through music, the couple is leaning towards tracks from the hit Broadway production, "Hamilton."
Among the things the "Bring It On" star supports are LGBTQ+ rights, the Black Lives Matter movement, rape survivors, breast cancer victims, marginalized groups, and many others.
For the holidays, Union and her husband, Dwyane Wade, will be giving back to their community by partnering with Amazon's Amazon Smile Charity list to give monetary aid to over 1,000 charities globally. She said:
"I wanted to find a way to give back safely during this pandemic, and this program allows people to donate to their favorite charities without even leaving their homes."
Among the organizations she and her husband hold dear to their hearts is Deborah's Place, a charity that helps homeless women in Chicago, and Women's Center for Advancement, a place that aids women and kids in Omaha.
This Christmas, Union and Wade planned to keep family traditions, including eating a Turkey sandwich and bonding over karaoke songs from Broadway musicals like "Dreamgirls."
However, this year will see more songs in the Union-Wade household as per the NBA star's request. Upon looking through music, the couple is leaning towards tracks from the hit Broadway production, "Hamilton."
Regardless of what music Union's family decides to fill their home with this season, it is sure that their celebration will be nothing less of festive and exciting, just like they do on all other occasions.
