Tika Sumpter’s fiancé and “The Have and Have Nots” co-star, Nicholas James, recently celebrated his 37th birthday with an Instagram post, posing with two black cars.
Nicholas James is a successful actor, loving partner, and doting father-of-one to his daughter, Ella Loren, whom he shares with his fiancée and “The Have and Have Nots” co-star, Tika Sumpter.
While James may not be as known as Sumpter, he has starred in a few on-screen productions, playing strong roles, including “NCIS: New Orleans,” “Fired Up!” Prom Night,” and “The Have and Have Nots.”
Recently, the actor reached a milestone in his life as he turned 37 years old. To commemorate the day, James shared a cool Instagram photo of himself taken outdoors.
Dressed in a black crew-neck shirt, army green pants, and black laced up boots, James posed with his hands crossed while leaning on a luxury black car. The actor also had a purple face mask on to protect himself amid the pandemic.
Several fans and followers took the opportunity to greet the celebrant in the comments section and wish him well on his special day. “Happy Birthday Blessings,” one person said.
Being in the limelight for years now, the actress knows how harsh and intrusive social media can get.
There is no doubt that James’ birthday will be anything less than amazing with his fiancée and their daughter by his side. The couple previously got engaged on Christmas Day, a holiday that will soon be arriving.
As shared by the actress, James prepared a mini gift hunt during the holidays that ended with a sweet letter he pulled out from behind their newborn and proposed to Sumpter.
His proposal came shortly after the pair welcomed their daughter, Ella-Loren, in 2016, who quickly became the center of their world after birth. Sumpter shared that she wanted to enjoy pregnancy alone first, before sharing her daughter with the world.
According to the actress, Ella-Loren is her first kid and hoped that the experience would be magical without other people trying to question her or join in on her motherhood.
However, Sumpter did not reveal her pregnancy as soon as she found out and instead waited until her baby bump was visible. According to the “Mixed-ish” star, she wanted to avoid questions about the child’s father.
Being in the limelight for years now, the actress knows how harsh and intrusive social media can get. She wanted to protect her daughter from all the critics and unsolicited opinions.
