Rebel Wilson got rid of excess pounds during her self-proclaimed "year of health," but some things the 40-year-old actress is not ready to part with just yet.

Actress Rebel Wilson dedicated 2020 to healthier habits, and with a month to spare, she reached her weight loss goal. Even though the 40-year-old looks transformed, she still holds on to certain comforts.

The year of transformation kicked off after Wilson paid a visit to Austria's VivaMayr wellness center, where she professionally detoxed. Over 60 pounds of weight melted off since then, but not without dedication to a healthier lifestyle.

HER MOTIVATION

A packed working schedule for 2021 and the knowledge that her maternal clock is ticking gave Wilson the push she needed to make changes in her life as she said:

"I was thinking about fertility and having good quality eggs in the bank, so I was like, ‘OK, I’m going to do this. I’m going to get healthy.’”

NOT READY YET

Even though Wilson focused on being healthy, she set a goal weight to have something to work towards. The actress gave herself a year to reach 165 pounds, and she nailed it with a month to spare.

Having reached that balance in her life, Wilson is proud of her accomplishment but still fond of her cozy robe, much to her fans' delight. Alongside a picture of the 40-year-old glammed up before getting dressed, she wrote: "She’s up. She’s ready. She’s still...not yet giving up the comfy robe."

THE JOURNEY

Even though the actress has access to the business's best personal trainers, she got tons of exercise by walking. Weight training also became a favorite, while Rebel balances it out with cardio.

However, much of the actress's focus had also been on re-training eating habits. Cutting carbs to make way for a high protein diet and drinking a lot of water helped Wilson drop one pound after another.

REBEL'S BOYFRIEND

This year didn't just change for Wilson on a health level, but a personal one as well. She started dating Jacob Busch before losing weight, and the couple often appears together on social media.

During an Instagram Live session she held on December 2, Wilson described the hunky Busch as "very private," and out of respect for his wishes, she steered clear of giving details about their romance.

DEDICATION PAYS OFF

Feeling healthier and finding love are two goals Rebel Wilson achieved, one after the other. In a previous interview, the actress said that she spent 2019 looking for love.

Wilson went on several dates and met many people in the hopes of finding romance, and finally, she met Busch, who swept her off her feet. The couple spent most of their time in quarantine together and head over heels.
