Pastor John Gray Admits to Marital Missteps in a Tribute to His Wife on Their 10th Anniversary

Pastor John Gray paid a heartwarming tribute to his wife Aventer Gray on their 10th wedding anniversary and admitted he made mistakes in their marriage.

John Gray and Aventer Gray are celebrating ten years as a married couple. The last decade has been filled with a mixture of emotions, and John recognized that in the loving tribute he paid to his beautiful wife on his Instagram page.

The pastor shared two pictures of him and Aventer, one from their wedding day and another showing them ten years after. In the caption, he noted that most of their years together had been filled with birthing, beauty, growth, purpose, miracles, and wonders.

John also noted that they had been to many countries of the world, preaching God's word and winning thousands of souls for Christ. They also share two beautiful children.

The loving husband admitted there had been painful days in their marriage and highlighted some choices he wished he made differently. He noted there were unresolved pains that showed up in the worst possible moments and added:

"I am God proud of the choice I made to marry this woman. And I am grateful God has blessed me with 10 years of marriage."

John then said he looks forward to applying the lessons he has learned thus far to ensure the next forty years of their union are filled with love, honor, cherishing, and good legacies for him and Aventer.

The pastor noted that all his wife ever wanted to do was love him but that it is difficult to love someone who hates themselves.

She revealed it was John who expressed love towards her, adding that he told her he planned to leave his wife.

He then toasted to Aventer and their years as a married couple, saying he would marry her again and again. John ended his caption by stating that they would continue changing the world.

The mistakes John admitted to making in his marriage involved a cheating scandal with an unnamed woman. John and Aventer had appeared on "The Real" to discuss the emotional affair between him and the woman.

Following that appearance, the woman was upset that she was described as the person who tried to disrupt John and Aventer's marriage and spoke out against the pastor.

She revealed it was John who expressed love towards her, adding that he told her he planned to leave his wife and only married her because she looked good on paper.

John apologized to his congregation in a virtual sermon in September, saying he was sorry for causing them pain. He also prayed that his life from that moment onward would be worthy of their love.

John, who founded the Relentless Church after moving to Greenville in 2018, noted that people might not listen to his preaching following his actions, which saddened him.

Despite the mistakes John has made in his marriage, his congregation would be pleased that his wife never left his side and stuck with him through all of it.
