Meghan McCain Says She Misses Best Friend Clay Aiken as She Shares a Series of Throwback Photos

"The View" star Meghan McCain took fans down memory lane with throwback pictures of her time with the singer Clay Aiken alongside a heartfelt message on Instagram.

Meghan McCain is famous for being a TV personality and daughter of the former United States Senator for Arizona, John McCain. The 36-year-old recently honored her best friend and singer Clay Aiken with an emotional post on Instagram.

"The View" star shared a series of throwback pictures that captured herself and Aiken on various occasions. There were pictures of the best friends posing alone or with their friends as well as pictures of them at events.

These pictures revealed their close relationship as they were captured with bright smiles and sometimes matching blonde hairstyles. The sweet post was captured with an even sweeter caption where McCain expressed her love for Aiken.

McCain and her husband, Ben Domenech chose to keep their first pregnancy out of the public's eye.

The TV personality stated that the singer didn't like emotional things but she deeply missed his presence and decided to share their old pictures. She ended the caption by writing:

The 36-year-old previously got personal with fans in September when rumors claimed she was leaving "The View." Nevertheless, McCain assured fans that she was only going on maternity leave.

Despite being a TV personality, McCain and her husband, Ben Domenech chose to keep their first pregnancy out of the public's eye. This was due to the internet trolls that made her father's cancer battle difficult before his death in 2018.

However the proud mother gave fans a glimpse of her adorable daughter, Liberty Sage with a sweet picture on Instagram. The image captured McCain cradling her baby while keeping her daughter's face out of the shot.

Liberty was born on September 28 and her mother took to Twitter to thank fans for their well-wishes. She also opened up on Instagram about motherhood which she described as the best thing she has ever done.

The lengthy Instagram message was accompanied by a picture of a gold necklace with the word "mama" attached as the pendant. The mother-of-one went on to thank her husband for their daughter, who she described as a "little wildcat."

McCain expressed her gratitude for her family and stated that having Liberty helped her gain back the piece of her heart that went missing after her father died. She also thanked fans for respecting her family's privacy while she was pregnant.
