After Ice-T and Austin welcomed Chanel on November 28, 2015, Austin revealed to People how she looked forward to raising a stylish daughter.
One of her ways involved opening an Instagram account for the little one but instead, the mother of one received backlash from some of her fans who believed that that parenting move was irresponsible.
However, the star fired back, saying she was not exploiting her daughter; instead, she was proud to be her mother and was only concerned for her happiness.
Still exploring motherhood, the 37-year-old posted a photo of herself nursing little Chanel while on a private plane, detailing her breastfeeding struggles.
Austin captioned the photo with words stating that Chanel saw breastfeeding as her comfort zone. Austin added that she felt lucky that Chanel had not grown out of breastfeeding since that would make her sad.
Austin's post went viral, attracting a line of negative comments as she received yet another backlash from fans for breastfeeding the four-year-old.
In defense of his wife's move, the "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" actor, Ice-T, told TMZ that it was totally normal as once in a while, Chanel wants to get close to her mother. He added that his daughter ate regular food too.
Austin's parenting does not seem to have any negative effect on little Chanel, and the family seems to be doing well going by their various Instagram posts.
