Trey is Zampino and Will's first son and only child from their marriage which ended on December 10, 1995, despite Will's reluctance to do so as he did not believe in divorce.

After their divorce, Zampino was quick to point out the fact that infidelity and abuse had nothing to do with their split, as it was all because she was unhappy and wasn't mature enough to handle the sadness.

Years later, on a 2016 Facebook video, Zampino further added that their marriage ended because Will was hitting stardom with his career, and she was becoming an afterthought.

The actor's career took off after the 1995 blockbuster, "Bad Boys," which he co-starred with famous comedian Martin Lawrence. The movie switched things up for Smith and made him an action star.

Like Smith, Lawrence also had his share of marital issues, divorcing his wife Pat who he was married to from 1995 to 1997. Pat moved on pretty quickly and tied the knot with her new partner, veteran football player Emmit Smith, in 2000.

However, things have gone sour between the duo as the 51-year-old mother announced their decision to separate on Instagram. Despite their personal challenges, the individuals still enjoy the support of family and friends and seem to be doing well.
