Acclaimed actor Samuel L. Jackson turned 72, and he got showered with celebratory birthday wishes from fellow celebrities who honored him on the special day.
Salma Hayek, who stars with Jackson in an upcoming movie, Ryan Reynolds, and Mark Hamill all paid tribute to the extraordinary man and actor in celebration of his 72nd birthday.
In 2017, Jackson, Hayek, and Reynolds starred together in "The Hitman's Bodyguard," wherein they will reprise their roles in its sequel coming out next year.
During his career, Jackson starred in more than 120 films, and it made him "the most influential actor of all time," according to a study done by Applied Network Science two years ago.
In his birthday tribute to the legendary actor on his 72nd birthday, Mark Hamil made mention of Jackson's substantial and successful acting career and gushed:
"His spectacular talent, redefinition of cool, being in practically every movie ever made & the only man on the planet that more-than-deserves a purple lightsaber."
Next summer, Jackson's latest flick with Salma Hayek, "The Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard," hits the big screen. Having worked with him, Hayek just had to send her "magnificent" co-star a congratulatory message on his birthday.
Jackson is, after all, responsible for one of the most memorable characters in film history. Having worked with Quintin Tarantino in various movies, his role as hitman Jules Winnfield in "Pulp Fiction" became legendary.
On his Instagram Stories, Jackson shared the sweet message he received from Ryan Reynolds, which alluded to the 72-year-old longtime actor's highly successful career.
From earlier blockbusters including "Jurassic Park" and "Snakes on a Plane," to other classics such as "Star Wars" and "Pulp Fiction," Jackson had earned a whopping $13,3 billion in total for his efforts worldwide.
Joaquin Phoenix and Tom Holland also sent Jackson happy birthday messages, a special day the actor celebrated with big fanfare when he turned 70.
LaTanya, Jackson's wife, organized a celebration bash for him at Cipriani, during which George Lucas gave a toast in Jackson's honor while Stevie Wonder sang "Happy Birthday."
This year, LaTanya also made Samuel L. Jackson's birthday on December 21 a treasured memory with a sweet tribute to her "blessed man" on social media.
With a marriage of 40 years and still going strong, the couple fell in love as college students, and they brought a daughter, Zoe, into the world, who became a television producer.
