THEIR ENGAGEMENT
On September 20 last year, Chris proposed to her with the heart-shaped diamond ring of her dreams the day after Amy's birthday. Excitedly, Amy took to social media to share the news and gushed:
"Guess what! I wanted to share with you- I’m engaged! ❤️❤️❤️. I was so surprised when Chris asked me to marry him. I said YES."
REACTION TO THE NEWS
No one in the Roloff family saw the engagement coming, but Amy wasn't altogether surprised at her son Zach's response to the news when she shared it with him and his wife, Tori, the following day.
Amy told Tori and Zach during an episode of "Little People, Big World," and both looked visibly shocked when the family matriarch said Chris proposed on their third anniversary.
Upset, Zach didn't utter a word, and he later clarified the reason for the show's producer. According to Zach, he previously told his parents that he didn't want to find out about relationship news on camera.
WEDDING PREPARATIONS
While Zach didn't share his mother's enthusiasm initially, Amy's busy schedule slowed wedding planning to a crawl. She moved into a new house, along with various projects that kept her occupied.
Amy wants to have the full wedding experience with Chris, and the couple is willing to wait to realize the day they both want. Excitedly, Amy shared that she is making headway with preparations.
THE LATEST WEDDING UPDATE
Wishing her fans a Merry Christmas, the Roloff family matriarch posted a picture of herself standing in front of a bridal store with a huge grin that showed from behind her facemask.
"What? I guess this is really happening. I’m over the moon with love for Chris and I. Here’s to an exciting 2021 - full of Faith Love Hope. Merry Christmas ♥️?," Amy wrote.
The couple plans to wed in 2021, although Amy previously said they had not set a date yet. There will also be no eloping. The couple wants the whole nine yards of wedding day tradition.
