Tyler Rich and Sabina Gadecki Open up about Her Brother's Devastating Cancer Diagnosis

Country music singer Tyler Rich and Sabina Gadecki talk about her brother’s health condition. Gadecki disclosed how sudden her brother's diagnosis was.

Tyler Rich and Sabina Gadecki opened up about her brother’s devasting cancer diagnosis. Gadecki’s older brother Stefan who is 43 years old, is battling stage four brain cancer.

Talking to People, the actress said, "I try every single day that I wake up to see the blessing of every moment and the silver lining of it all, but it's so hard." According to Gadecki, her brother had been having trouble smelling for two years before the heart-breaking news.

The 37-year-old continued to explain that Stefan went to see several doctors, but they found nothing wrong with him. Stefan continued to have the symptoms, which included a sense of taste as well.

To avoid unforeseen circumstances, he finally went to an ENT who informed him that he had horrible polyps and that it would have to be operated on. Sadly, the pandemic interfered, and his surgery date kept getting pushed.

While awaiting his surgery, in July, he and his family went on vacation, and after coming back from it, the father of two suffered a devasting seizure at home. This time around, the doctors gave him an equally shocking diagnosis.

Stefan was told that he has Grade IV Glioblastoma, a malignant tumor that affects the brain or spine. Gadecki revealed that the brain tumor was the size of a large lemon and that they were able to remove most of it in August.

Gadecki’s husband told the outlet that his fans have been incredibly supportive. Rich shared that when some of his fan groups first heard about his brother-in-law’s condition, they all got together and raised a ton of money for him and his family.

To continue the support, Gadecki went on the GoFundMe initiative in search of a miracle for him. The model wrote to multitudes of people on the platform to ask for donations seeing that her brother cannot work due to his diagnosis and vision loss.

Gadecki shared that his wife Caitlin works at a children's hospital and that her salary will help with Stefan's treatments. However, it will not be enough due to their current situation, so the money raised will help with medical expenses and living expenses.

As Gadecki keeps fighting for her brother's life, she is also living her own with the 34-year-old Rich. The couple first met at the Stagecoach music festival in California in 2016.

According to The Boot, Rich spotted his now beautiful wife in the crowd at the festival and got her attention by hanging out with a friend nearby:

“It barely worked – we quickly said hello and she left. I had to do the rest of my courting via an Instagram direct message.”

The singer worked his magic and asked the L.A.’s Finest” star to marry him. Gadecki said yes to the persistent Rich, and they were engaged for more than two years while living separately.

The couple got hitched on September 20, 2019, at Saddle Woods Farms in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Gadecki and Rich had a festival-themed wedding since their love story started at a musical event.

Only 275 guests witnessed their pair’s union, and ahead of their wedding, they revealed to People that they chose their venue because of the kind owners. The lovely couple shared that the owners invited them for dinner with their family during the holidays.

They further stated that they were sold right there and then about the venue. According to People, the lovebirds wrote their vows, and Rich anticipated a 100 percent chance that he would cry during the special ceremony.

Their love story is certainly riveting. Rich is a California native as he grew up on the West Coast, and after graduating from college with an Economics degree, he moved to Los Angeles.

Rich played for a string of bands before trying to make it as a solo artist. According to The Boot, the “Leave Her Wild” singer still loves going to music festivals as a fan.
