WWE Wrestler Luke Harper Dies from Lung Illness Aged 41
Over the weekend the wrestling community lost one of their own when Luke Harper passed away at the age of 41. The heartbreaking news was revealed on social media by the wrestler’s wife.
Jon Huber, who’s known as Luke Harper and Brodie Lee in the wrestling world, passed away on Saturday, December 26, 2020. The news of the professional wrestler’s death was announced by his wife.
Amanda Huber mourned her husband’s death by taking to Instagram with several photos. The late star was seen posing with his wife and children in the wrestling ring and in other settings.

Jon’s wife started off her tribute noting that she’d lost her best friend and that her heart was broken by the news. She described him as her husband and the greatest father to their two children, adding:
“No words can express the love I feel or how broken I am right now.”
Sharing how she lost her husband, Amanda revealed that he was surrounded by his family as he battled a lung issue at the Mayo Clinic. She also clarified that he hadn’t contracted the novel coronavirus disease.
The late wrestler’s wife also took the time to show gratitude to the doctors and nurses at the clinic for all they did. She also thanked some people at AEW for their continued support through this difficult time.
Amanda concluded her touching message by noting how she had been surrounded by love and incredible people who knew themselves. Sharing how much she appreciated them she wrote:
“I don’t think they will ever know how thankful I am for them.”
The WWE also released a statement on the day of Jon’s death noting how successful the late wrestler had been in his sports-entertainment career. The organization also noted how soft-spoken the star had been.
Jon played a soldier named Lachlan Allsopp in the movie and has since received numerous tributes.
Despite this, his presence allowed him to create incredible moments in the ring, according to the organization. The WWE ended its tribute by sharing its condolences with the late star’s family, fans, and friends.
Some people might recognize the late wrestler as the actor who appeared in the 2017 action-horror film “Mohawk.” Jon played a soldier named Lachlan Allsopp in the movie and has since received numerous tributes.
The star is survived by his wife, who is also a wrestler professionally known as Synndy Synn, and their two sons, Brodie and Nolan. Another wrestler who recently passed on is Danny Hodge.
