Hilaria Baldwin became the subject of ridicule from fans who questioned her claim of having Spanish heritage and accused her of faking her accent. Some tagged her the worse impersonator and likened her to Rachel Dolezal, who lied about being Black.

In a new Instagram video, Hilaria responded to the puzzle surrounding her Spanish heritage and accent and said that her cultural heritage is something she takes very seriously.

In the seven-minute-long Instagram clip, Hilaria said she was going to set the record straight. The 36-year-old revealed that she was born in Massachusett Boston and not Spain as widely speculated.

She also revealed that her real name is Hilary and not Hilaria. Hilaria spoke about growing up in Massachusetts and visiting her family in Spain, where her parents and siblings live.

The 36-year-old revealed that growing up, both Spanish and American culture was practiced in her home, which she and her husband, Alec Baldwin, adopted in their own home.

The mother of five said her children are being raised as bilingual, and both cultures are celebrated in her home. She urged fans to understand that her story is different, but all the same, it is still hers.

Hilaria said that she advocates body positivity and played down allegations of body shaming other moms.

On her "fake" Spanish accent, Hilaria revealed that she tends to mix it up with English whenever she spoke a lot of Spanish and vice versa. She said she felt insecure about her language switching.

Hilaria reportedly said she would be taking a break from Instagram to focus on her family because she has not been a good mom focusing her time and energy on clarifying these allegations of a false cultural heritage.

To back her claim, the 36-year-old posted some pictures from her growing up days on her Instagram Stories and shared a screenshot of a conversation with her brother, which was written in Spanish.

Fans took to the comment section of her post to show support for Hilaria. Some fans argued that she was being her true self and had no need to put up a false accent or a false cultural heritage.

This is not the first time the mom of five is making a video in response to anything she does not deem okay. According to reports, Hilaria recently shared a video where she addressed the comments generated from a picture comedian Amy Schumer shared.

Earlier on, Hilaria posed in her underwear and showed off her trim postpartum body, which she shared on her social media. Schumer, who welcomed a baby last year, had some fun with the post.

Fans accused Hilaria, who constantly shares pictures of her fit postpartum body, of intimidating other moms who cannot shed off the baby weight and have a fit body like her.

Responding to these claims, Hilaria said that she advocates body positivity and played down allegations of body shaming other moms. The mother of five claimed that she loved people who appreciated how they look.

Hilaria would be hoping that her time away from social media will keep her out from the constant criticism she has faced in recent times.
