"Crossword puzzles are no match for Betty. She reads a number of newspapers, watches select television, and gets a lot of exercise in her home walking up and down bedroom stairs."

The veteran Hollywood star has been preparing for an eventful 2021 with her show, "The Pet Set," which initially aired in the '70s, set to make a return to digital platforms to commemorate its 50th anniversary in February.
Before the pandemic, the legendary actress made her last public appearance in September 2018.
Before the show's release, White has an even bigger celebration as she is set to turn 99 on January 17. A source disclosed that she is looking forward to her big day but has no plans to have a grand bash due to the ongoing pandemic.
Instead, she'll opt for a low-key and intimate party that still entails a lot of fun. The insider disclosed that White is planning to have a Zoom garden party with her close friends, including a chocolate cake with many candles.
There will also be hot dogs, fries, and ketchup available. Although she is having her bash over a video call, the actress won't be alone as she has a full-time helper who lives with her and has grown to be her close companion over the past year.
In the meantime, fans have serenaded White with letters, gifts, and birthday cards. Before the pandemic, the legendary actress made her last public appearance in September 2018 at the 70th Primetime Emmy Award.
She received a standing ovation when she was brought on stage to be honored as one of the oldest winners. Since her breakout in 1939, White hasn't slowed down with a host of movies and television shows to her name.
The long list of projects includes "Life with Elizabeth," "Date with Angels," "The Mary Tyler Moore Show," "The Betty White Show," and "The Golden Place."
