Wendy Williams' Brother Claims She Skipped Mom Shirley's Funeral While Her Ex-husband Attended
Wendy Williams announced the death of her mother on her eponymous talk show last year. Her brother, Tommy, recently opened up about the family's grief, adding that the TV host did not attend their mom's funeral.
Grief is a long and personal process and for the Williams family, losing their matriarch, Shirley Williams, was heartbreaking, and the remaining family is still fighting through the pain.
Tommy Williams, the younger brother of television host Wendy Williams, recorded a live chat on January 16, expressing his feelings about the loss while revealing that Wendy was absent at the funeral.

In a 30-minute YouTube clip, Tommy was emotional as he talked about how difficult the grieving process has been and how much he missed their mother.
Wendy also grieved their mother and took a brief hiatus from filming. The actress had a very close relationship with her late mother and often invited her to join her on her daytime talk show.
In the video, Tommy said he was confused about many things during the past months. He questioned why Wendy would not show up to support her siblings and widowed father. He added:
"I don't understand how a person can miss out on giving a salute to the one person who was always there."
Tommy also talked about their father, Thomas Williams Sr., who he said was devasted by the loss of the woman he had known since his twenties.
He added that it was wrong that Wendy was not there to support their dad at the funeral, and she had caused even more pain for the family because of the way she just moved on.
While Tommy was largely disappointed with Wendy's absence at the funeral, he appreciated that her ex-husband, Kevin Hunter, attended the funeral to support the family.
Wendy accused [Hunter] of being a serial cheater who had many mistresses over the years.
Tommy pointed out that while Hunter and his sister were no longer together, he held no ill feelings for the TV producer because what had happened in their marriage was between the two of them.
Wendy and Hunter were married for 21 years before calling it quits in 2019. Wendy accused the producer of being a serial cheater who had many mistresses over the years.
She told Extra that Hunter had cheated on her even while pregnant with their son, Kevin Jr., 20. Despite his shortcomings, she and Hunter still keep in touch occasionally.
