'Armageddon' Star Liv Tyler Details 10-Day Battle with COVID-19 as She Reunites with Her Kids

Actress Liv Tyler opened up about her brutal COVID-19 diagnosis and the grueling physical and emotional symptoms as she reunited with her three kids after ten days of being away.

Actress Liv Tyler is opening up about her COVID-19 diagnosis more than a week after contracting the virus. In a lengthy post on Friday, the “Armageddon” star candidly spoke about her health status.

Alongside a photo of the star wearing a mask as she cuddled her children, Sailor and Lula, Tyler expressed joy at their reunion. She wrote that although she is usually private, she chose to open up about the experience because it is needed information.

She revealed that she tested positive for the novel coronavirus on New Year’s Eve and felt disappointed because she had tried hard to keep herself and her family safe. The 43-year-old then detailed her experience with the virus, writing:

“It comes on fast, like a locomotive. Owchie. With it, feelings of fear, shame, and guilt swirling through you, who could you have gotten it from...”

She, however, shared that her family remained safe and tested negative. Tyler further explained the intricacies of the virus, noting that it affects everyone differently. She disclosed that it kept her in bed for ten days.

The doting mother-of-three confessed that it affected her not only physically but emotionally and psychologically, writing that it messes with both the mind and body. She then spoke about what it felt like to be in isolation.

Tyler continued, writing about how much she missed her babies and how they always visited her by the window during her confinement. She concluded, thanking health workers around the world and urging her fans to remain safe.
