Singer Brandy Norwood recently helped celebrate her brother, Ray J's 40th birthday by posting a throwback picture of the lookalike pair on her Instagram story.

Reality television star and singer William Ray Norwood Jr. celebrated his milestone 40th birthday on January 17, and his older sister, Brandy Norwood, expressed her sentiments with a cool throwback photo.

The "Piano Man" singer took fans down memory lane, reminding them how far the talented pair have come since their youth when they were hopefuls making their mark in the nineties film and music scene.

The black and white photo ignited a sense of nostalgia, as Brandy and Ray J were pictured sporting huge lookalike smiles while posing in typical nineties garb. The picture was captioned:

"Happy Birthday to my heart @rayj you mean the world to me!!"

In the pic, Brandy wore a dark outfit with a statement leather waistcoat and matching bucket hat. She had her arms affectionately wrapped around Ray J, who rocked a checkered shirt over a top and dark jeans.

The turbulent relationship between Ray J and Love was exhibited on and off the reality show.

Looking at Brandy and Ray J's innocent faces, their enthusiasm radiated even when they were younger, and it resulted in them reaching worldwide success in music and television.

The siblings rose to fame as child stars on the hit series "Moesha" before taking over the industry with their soulful voices, but it's Ray J who took the entertainment world by storm after his infamous sex tape with Kim Kardashian, 40.

Ray J made the most of his moment in the spotlight, starring in several reality shows, including "For The Love of Ray J" and more recently, "Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood" alongside his estranged wife, Princess Love, 36.

The turbulent relationship between the "One Wish" singer and Love was exhibited on and off the reality show, with the pair both filing for divorce during the last year.

Love was the first to file divorce papers in May 2020 before dismissing the case after a brief reconciliation. Ray J went on to file his papers in August.

The "Sexy Can I" singer expressed feelings of regret shortly after filing divorce papers, adding that he was considering marriage counseling, which would please his sister, Brandy, 41.

Brandy and Ray J are extremely close, and she told Wendy Williams that she was rooting for him and Love to work things out, especially as they share two beautiful kids, Melody, 2 and Epik, 1.
