The series's news was an excellent way to start the year after a challenging 2020 for the actor and his family. In September, Dwayne announced on Instagram that he, his wife Lauren Hashian, and two daughters tested positive for COVID-19.

The actor also used his platform to offer his followers tips on protecting themselves from contracting the virus. He also advised that they maintained a healthy lifestyle.

Now that 2020 is behind the American television personality and his family, they look forward to a positive 2021. "Young Rock" will premiere on NBC on February 16.
