'Blue Bloods' Actress Vanessa Ray Teases Appearance of Guest Star in Season 11 Episode 6

"Blue Bloods" star Vanessa Ray teased fans with news of a surprise guest star appearance in the upcoming season 11 episode 6 with a new Instagram upload. Ray posed with actress Kate Rockwell in a series of images.

Ahead of the premiere of season 11, episode 6 of "Blue Bloods" on Friday, February 5, actress Vanessa Ray chose to whet fans' appetites with a teaser of who they can expect to see in the upcoming episode.

Ray took to Instagram last week to share a photo that featured Kate Rockwell, teasing Rockwell's appearance as a guest in episode 6. Ray, who plays Eddie Janko-Reagan on the series, shared a series of images.

The first image showed her and Rockwell on the show's set with Ray dressed in her NYPD uniform while donning masks. The next slide showed them pulling down the masks and flaunting their wide grins. The accompanying caption read:

"Meet Claire!!! Aka, my brilliant BFF @katerockwellnyc #@bluebloods_cbs 10 pm!!! * Kate's episode airs Feb 5th!"

The slideshow was concluded with a sweet photo of the on-screen BFFs in a warm embrace. As expected, fans went crazy in the comments section, excited about seeing Rockwell in the new episode.

Fans may recall in episode 5 of “Blue Bloods” the focus was on Eddie and her partner, Officer Rachel Witten.

According to reports, Rockwell's appearance on the show is part of how New York-based series are helping Broadway stars who have been affected by the pandemic. Rockwell is known for her role in "Mean Girls" musical and in "Almost Family."

While it is not sure what Rockwell's character would be, fans speculate that she will be the social worker assigned to Eddie and Jamie for a ride-along. TV Insider reports that episode six, "The New Normal," shows the Reagans having a hard time.

Patriarch Frank Reagan (Tom Selleck) confronts a police captain who is losing control over the officers in his precinct. At the same time, his inner circle Baker, Gormley, and Garrett observe him handling the issue.

On the other hand, Danny (Donnie Wahlberg) is on the receiving end of a backlash from Baez (Marisa Ramirez) and the internal affairs after making a controversial decision in the field.

At the same time, Erin is bothered about the release of a hardened criminal. Fans may recall in episode 5 of “Blue Bloods,” the focus was on Eddie and her partner, Officer Rachel Witten.
