See Toni and Tamar Braxton's Mom Evelyn's Golden Advice on Self-Care

Evelyn recently took to her Instagram account, posting an inspiring message encouraging all her followers and fans to take some quality time for themselves despite their extremely busy lives.

Evelyn Braxton is an opera singer and mother to Toni and Tamar Braxton who are both vocalists themselves. On what she referred to as #Wisdom Wednesday, Evelyn shared a motivational post on her Instagram account.

In an attempt to encourage those reading the post, the singer spoke to the importance of looking after oneself. The post didn't do too well for someone who is considered well known, only receiving just under one-thousand likes.

INSPIRATION AT ITS BEST

Looking colorful, the post included a rainbow and a heart. It had a purple background with white writing that stuck out, making it easier for the readers to make out the quote, a part of it stating the following:

"Wisdom Wednesday: Be kind to yourself this week. I know we all have lives, jobs, and families that we are responsible for but be sure to set aside some 'me time'"

The rest of the post went on to reiterate the importance of self-care with the hashtag #LookAtGod" falling in at the end. Although the share didn't receive a plethora of likes, the comment section was filled to the brim with positivity.

The hashtag in Evelyn's post, namely "#LookAtGod" implies that the mother of two is very religious. Some of the followers seemed to agree with this faithful sentiment, one claiming that it was the best advice they had come across.

It seems that in these strange times, it is imperative to follow Evelyn Braxton's advice and look after ourselves first.

The rest of her family, well at least her daughter Tamar seem to share these devout values. On losing her niece to a heroin overdose, Tamar expressed that everything happens within the divine timing of God.

MENTAL HEALTH

Unfortunately, the family's tragedies do not end with an overdose. In 2020 Tamar tried to take her own life. Her sister Toni, who was obviously deeply affected by the incident, expressed the following:

"It seemed like a dream, a bad dream."

Luckily, Tamar survived and has received adequate mental health care going forward. The singer was having an incredibly difficult time in quarantine which led to a decline in her mental health.

THE CHALLENGES OF THE PANDEMIC

Although not as serious as Tamar's attempt, Kate Middleton has her own quarantine struggles. Speaking on a video with Roe Green Junior School, she expressed how difficult it was to look after her children in quarantine.

The Duchess claimed that it was absolutely exhausting. Speaking on the topic of helping her kids with math homework, Middleton rated herself a five out of ten.

It seems that in these strange times, it is imperative to follow Evelyn's advice and look after ourselves first. This period in history has been taxing on everyone and the opera singer truly seems to understand this.
