Woman Is Upset over Husband's Cheap Valentine's Day Gift

Valentine’s Day is a big deal for many couples. With the occasion becoming commercialized through the years, some girls and wives have become quite demanding when it comes to gifts.

Flowers and chocolates often mark this occasion, with girls usually at the receiving end. But some have become quite discriminating when it comes to gifts that simple flowers and chocolates no longer suffice.

NOT WHAT SHE EXPECTED
Hazel has been married to Jake for 21 years. She has been used to getting pampered with presents on Valentine’s Day. Last year, Jake gifted her with an expensive perfume along with flowers.

This year’s Valentine’s Day was different, however. When Jake arrived from work, he handed Hazel flowers and chocolates that looked like those from the nearest convenience store.

Jake told her how much he loved her as he handed her the presents. Hazel was momentarily delighted. When she saw the cheap chocolate brand, she felt disappointed. She quipped:
“Seriously? This is how much you love me?”

A DISAPPOINTED HUSBAND
She angrily put the flowers and chocolates down on the table and stormed off to their bedroom. Jake could not help but heave a sigh of frustration. He was tired from work, and now this.
Still, he was hoping that Hazel would not mind about the gifts as much as before.

He half-expected Hazel’s reaction, considering how expensive his past Valentine’s Day gifts for her were. Work has been quite busy lately, and he had forgotten to plan for the special day.

Still, he was hoping that Hazel would not mind about the gifts as much as before. After all, they have been together for 21 years, and he sure has proven how much he loves her.

In the end, he decided to shop online for pricier gifts. He bought an expensive handbag to be delivered within the week. He hoped that would appease his wife.
