Amy Schumer and Chris Fischer originally met each other years before they got married. They were introduced through the “Trainwreck” actress’ personal assistant, Molly.
The personal assistant happened to be Fischer’s sister. Schumer and Fischer ended up hitting it off after they worked together to plan a birthday party for the actress’s friend, Rachel Feinstein.

According to “Entertainment Tonight,” the pair was seen together for the first time in the fall of 2017. At the time, the comedian and the chef were photographed while having a candlelit dinner in New York City.
The pair confirmed they were dating three months after the rumors of their relationship came up. The “Snatched” star shared a photo where she was seen kissing Fischer on Instagram.
After that, the couple was very open about their relationship as they attended Ellen DeGeneres’ 60th birthday party together. Then four days after they confirmed their relationship, they shared some amazing news.
The comedian revealed that she’d married Fischer. The wedding, which was planned for in three to four days, was a secret one that was held on February 13, 2018, in Malibu, California.
In October 2018, Schumer announced she was pregnant with her first child. She shared the news by having her and Fischer's faces photoshopped onto Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry's faces.
Schumer explained that she and her husband planned to freeze her eggs...
On May 6, 2019, the couple welcomed their first child together, a son named Gene David. Schumer has been quite transparent about her pregnancy journey.
On January 9, 2020, the comedian shared that she'd begun an IVF process. She explained that she and her husband planned to freeze her eggs so one day they could hopefully give their son a sibling.
However, a few months later, in August, the actress said she wasn't sure she could ever do IVF or be pregnant again following her first experience. This month, she and her husband celebrated a special milestone.
Taking to Instagram, Schumer uploaded a photo of herself standing slightly in front of her husband. In the image, the couple wore face masks and hats in the photo that appeared to have been taken at night.
The comedian captioned the picture to celebrate her and her husband’s wedding anniversary. The special day happens to fall a day before Valentine’s Day, and the actress captioned it:
“Married for 3 years.”
