Recently, Will Smith's daughter Willow Smith shared a short video of herself on Instagram, belting out a part of Alicia Keys' song "Fallin" which received a mixed response.

Confidently singing Alicia Keys' "Fallin" for her Instagram audience, Willow Smith probably didn't expect the backlash she would receive. However, those in her comment section absolutely loved it.

Wearing a treatment on her face and surrounded by color, Willow took to the Instagram stage, unafraid to use her unique voice. The singer looked impassioned as she closed her eyes and focused on the lyrics.

SUPER EXTRA

Even though she was wearing treatment on her face, Willow's obviously flawless skin didn't seem to need any glow-up. Captioning the somewhat vulnerable video, the superstar wrote the following:

"Here’s a little snippet of me being SUPER EXTRA with a clay spot treatment on my face ?."

Her comment section seemed to enjoy it with the post receiving just over one million views in total. However, Willow was soon to discover that not everyone enjoyed her rendition of the famous melody.

QUIRKY AND COLOURFUL

The actress, of course, was dressed in her usually quirky and colorful style with a plethora of piercings to match. She wore a white and pink tie-dye shirt with an animated picture of a rainbow plastered right in the middle.

Willow and her family have claimed that a lot of negative responses towards them are because they do not fit into the Black community.

The video was also reposted on The Shade Room's Instagram which is specifically aimed at people of color. Willow didn't receive the best responses here with one commentator stating that she should have kept the clip private.

OUTSIDERS LOOKING IN

Willow and her family have claimed that a lot of negative responses towards them are because they do not fit into the Black community. Speaking on "Red Table Talk" Willow spoke about feeling like an outsider during her online TV show, saying:

"Specifically with the African American community, I kind of felt like me and Jaden were shunned a little bit."

Also speaking on the Facebook Watch show, Jada Pinket Smith said she felt shunned by the Black community when she allowed her son to wear a skirt. She said that isn't what is considered typical for a man of color.

A MOTHER-DAUGTHER BOND

The Smiths seem to be a family that truly sticks together. Willow embodied this sentiment when she praised her mom for speaking publically about relationships.

In another "Red Table Talk" interview, the young lady commented on her mom talking about her relationship with August Alsina. The young singer said her mother's candidness was commendable.

Not only is the young Willow a singer and an actress taking after her dad. This talented young lady is also involved in the fashion industry.

Willow recently modeled for Onitsuka Tiger's spring collection as a brand ambassador. The clothing line is a collection of innovative outfits that are suited towards lockdown.
