Princess Eugenie shared the meaning behind her son, August Philip Hawke Brooksbank's name, and it includes a sweet tribute to her grandfather, Prince Philip, and other family members.
Her Royal Highness and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, welcomed their first child on February 9, 2021. She shared adorable photos of the family of 3 on Instagram soon after he was born.
The couple introduced their sweet boy with a photo where Brooksbank wore a blue sweater to match his baby's blue blanket. Eugenie glowed in a cream-colored dress and yellow headband.

Philip's second name is an obvious nod to his great grandfather and Eugenie's grandfather, The Prince of Edinburgh, Prince Phillip. Eugenie's dad, Prince Andrew, is his son.
His third name Hawke is from the Brooksbank family tree and was his 5x grandfather, Rev. Edward Hawke Brooksbank. It is so special that both sides of the family are represented.
On February 9, Eugenie shared a black and white photo of August's hand being held by his parents to announce his birth. Almost two weeks later, they shared his full name.
