“RuPaul’s Drag Race” judge Ross Matthews sweetly announced his engagement to his boyfriend, Dr. Wellington Garcia, with a heartwarming photo on social media.

Renowned television personality Ross Matthews has gotten engaged! The “RuPaul’s Drag Race” judge shared the great news on Instagram with a sweet image of him and his boyfriend, Dr. Wellington Garcia.

The lovebirds showed off their engagement bands as they sat together on a white chair. Matthews looked elated and donned a black turtleneck with grey pants paired with black fur loafers.

On the other hand, Garcia opted for a lighter nude shade of similar apparel with brown loafer shoes. The couple beamed at the camera with their ring fingers sweetly entwined. Matthews shared in the accompanying caption:

“I am so proud to announce that after over a year together - navigating a pandemic, quarantine, and opposite coasts - the smartest, funniest and kindest man I’ve ever met said, “Yes!”

He concluded, declaring his undying love for Garcia and assuring him a lifetime of adventure ahead. Colleagues and fans congratulated the lovebirds in the comments section, expressing their profound joy at the good news.

[Matthews] first joined the reality show in season 7 as a new judge.

On Tuesday’s episode of “The Drew Barrymore Show,” Matthews gave more details about his relationship with the doctor and the proposal. He recalled that he met Garcia a year ago, and his life completely changed.

He described his fiance as funny and the smartest person he knew and admitted that he was inspired by Beyoncé’s instruction to “put a ring on it.” The “Hello Ross” alum described himself as the happiest man.

The 41-year-old, who has been serving on “RuPaul’s Drag Race” for more than five years, first joined the reality show in season 7 as a new judge. Matthews, who was a fan of the franchise, described his appointment as a dream come true.

He explained in a statement released that he has never felt more qualified for a position before admitting that he never fails to attend a drag show in any town he visits. Actor Carson Kressley also joined Matthews as a judge that season.
