Christie Brinkley Reflects on Tiger Woods' Accident Years after She Survived a Helicopter Crash
Supermodel Christie Brinkley recently reflected on Tiger Woods’ car crash and looked back on when she survived a helicopter crash twenty-seven years ago.
Christie Brinkley emphasized the importance of being grateful for one's life on a daily. She spoke to Extra's Rachel Lindsay about her horror over two decades ago.
Brinkley got involved in a helicopter crash twelve feet up in the Colorado mountains a while back. “I think my gratitude was intensified after my helicopter crash, and we are so lucky to have each day,” she disclosed.

HER CRASH EXPERIENCE
At the time of the accident, she revealed that she thought she would not make it. “I knew I almost wasn’t here anymore,” she shared. When it comes to Woods’ condition, she said she is glad to know that he’s doing better.
“I'm happy to know that he's doing so well. I'm sure it's very painful what he's going through, but I'm sure that his gratitude and his family will help him through,” she said.
Since her accident, she has been left to endure great pain, which led her to opt for a hip replacement. When asked why she only decided to get it now, nearly three decades after her accident, she said she wanted to be able to do other things.
“Because I always want to say yes when the opportunity comes. Whether it’s a job offer, a ski trip, whatever, I want to be able to seize the day,” she revealed.
TIGER WOODS’ CAR CRASH
Meanwhile, Woods reportedly has a long road ahead to recovery after his single-car rollover crash in Rancho Palos Verdes, California, on Tuesday. According to an insider, his next major challenge is physiotherapy rehabilitation to heal his injuries.
"When he is healed enough, he will need other treatments, including physical therapy. But he is a fighter. If anyone can recover from this, it is him," said the source. Woods remains hospitalized at the Harbor - UCLA Medical Center.
He reportedly underwent surgery on his lower right leg and ankle. Fortunately for him, he wore a seatbelt. “Otherwise, he might not have made it,” the source added.
BRINKLEY’S BEAUTY SECRET WEAPON
So long as the 15-time major champion is doing better, Brinkley, on the other hand, is not only taking charge of her health as well, but she wants to look good doing it too. The 67-year-old wants to grow old gracefully.
She also happens to have a secret weapon on how to go about it. Brinkley revealed that she uses sculpting wands for her face and neck.
“I don’t do Botox in my forehead. I did it once; I hated it; if I can make my wrinkles a little less noticeable, then that’s what I love,” she said.
SHOWING OFF HER GREAT FIGURE
The actress also has a great physique and flaunted her flat abs last month while revealing how she lost her quarantine weight. Brinkley also shared how thrilled she was to be able to move her body again.
She disclosed that a daily workout routine helped her shed weight. The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit veteran reportedly took to Instagram and shared a photo of a mirror selfie wearing a teal crop top and matching leggings revealing that she gets stronger every day.
