Prince Philip Transferred to Another Hospital as He Fights an Infection and Heart Condition
After being hospitalized a week ago, the Duke of Edinburgh has reportedly been transferred to another hospital as he battles another condition besides his infection.
Prince Philip is not only fighting for his life after suffering an infection, but it has also escalated to a possible heart problem. A royal reporter, Rebecca English, recently took to Twitter to break the news.
She tweeted, “Breaking: The Duke of Edinburgh was today transferred from King Edward VII’s Hospital to St Bartholomew’s Hospital where doctors will continue to treat him for an infection.”

English further explained that doctors would also take tests and observations for Prince Philip's pre-existing heart condition. She also assured her followers that the Royal Knight of the Garter is responding to treatment.
“The Duke remains comfortable and is responding to treatment but is expected to remain in hospital until at least the end of the week,” she wrote. Twitter users wished the Duke well.
"He's 99. I wish him comfort and everyone else perspective,” said the user. Another user retweeted, “Prayers for the royal family.”
One other user shared two blue heart emojis and a praying emoji. Prince Philip reportedly had only one visitor from his family after his admission, which was Prince Charles.
Rumors reportedly began to circulate that Prince Philip was being moved after photos emerged of a patient being removed from the hospital by ambulance under hidden identity. March 2 will mark his two weeks stay at a hospital.
The 99-year-old was first admitted to King Edward VII Hospital as a precautionary measure. A week later, the royal palace confirmed that he was being treated for an infection. The Royal Palace has also previously noted that it was not COVID-19 related.
According to Buckingham Palace press release, he had been feeling unwell at the time. A royal source added that he traveled to the hospital by car, and it was not an emergency admission.
Prince Philip reportedly walked into the medical facility unaided. His Royal Highness was admitted to a London hospital on February 16 in the evening.
On February 23, his son Prince Edward told Sky News that he was doing a lot better. At the time, he shared that the royal family is keeping their fingers crossed after a week he was admitted to the hospital.
The Earl of Wessex reportedly revealed that he had spoken with his father on the phone and shared that he was looking forward to being released. According to his youngest son, Prince Philip was agitated being in the hospital.
