'1000-LB Sisters' Star Amy Slaton Admits Holding Son Gage for the First Time Was Surreal
Reality star Amy Slaton has opened up about the moment she first held her son Gage, and from all indications, the new mom is clearly smitten by her beautiful little one.
New mom Amy Slaton is head over heels in love with son Gage Deon, and even now, three months after welcoming the tiny tot, she can't stop gushing about him.
Recently, the reality star opened up about the day she welcomed her son and recalled the gush of emotions that ran through her the first time she held him.

Slaton explained that holding Gage in her arms for the first time after he was born was a moment of love, and she could see his beautiful future just by looking at him.
She described the sweet moment as surreal and added that she was completely smitten by his cute face, little fingers, tiny toes, and his curly full hair.
For the reality star, her son's arrival was an emotional experience that came with a deep realization of how much she loves and adores the tiny tot.
While the new mom is unarguably obsessed with her newborn, his birth came with a tad bit of issues but nonetheless, Slaton could not be more grateful.
The reality star gave birth to Gage via a c-section after he was discovered to be in a breech position. Even more, after his birth, the tiny tot was diagnosed with having low blood sugar.
Slaton and her husband, Michael, welcomed their son in November 2020. This came a little over a year after the pair got married in November 2019.
News of Slaton's pregnancy was first shared last year in a teaser trailer for season 2 of her and her sister Tammy's reality show "1000-Lb. Sisters," which airs on TLC.
At the time Slaton conceived, it was only four months after she underwent a weight loss surgery to help her deal with excess weight, something she has battled with for years.
Considering how complex weight loss surgeries are, women are often advised to avoid getting pregnant in the next 12 to 18 months following the procedure.
When Slaton revealed she was expecting a child, her sister Tammy had mixed emotions and became worried about everything that could go wrong during the pregnancy.
However, keeping a positive mind, Tammy soon put her worries aside and offered support to her sister, who was ecstatic about the prospect of becoming a mother.
Time and time again, Slaton has expressed her desire to have a child, and now that she does, the reality star would really not have it any other way.
