Monica Denise, now living the high life after overcoming some difficult times, stood with her friends Toya Johnson and LeToya Luckett while posing in fashionable ensembles in a recent Instagram post.

Monica Denise and her friends sure know how to dress in style. In a post on Instagram, the three women, Monica, Toya Johnson, and LeToya Luckett, looked fabulous as they posed in stylish outfits while all holding lavish handbags.

The trio looked confident as they all glared at the camera with a deep self-assuredness, all gifted with the talent of knowing how to work the camera. Their tasteful outfits only served to heighten these ladies' powerful ambiance.

FABULOUS FORTY

Johnson stood daintily on the right-hand side of Monica, who stood in the middle with a pose full of attitude. Luckett stood on Monica's left, looking on point. Taking to the caption, Monica wished Luckett a happy birthday, writing:

"Happy Fabulous Forty @letoyaluckett You are strength personified!"

Luckett wore a grey hat, complete with a long and tasteful checkered jacket as well as a casual yet high-class shirt and pants. Her orange purse stuck out against the light colors of her ensemble, with golden bangles completing the look.

HIGH FASHION

Johnson, who seemed more graceful and filled with quiet confidence, was dressed in all black from head to toe, her sleek dark hair tied back for a glam yet calm look. The outfit included a pinch of orange from her glasses and handbag.

[Monica] revealed that out of her entire family, she views herself as the most sensitive.

Monica stood fiercely in the middle with her hand on her hip while she wore a checkered jacket and shorts with black tights sticking out the bottom. Her sailor-like hat combined with the rest of the outfit gave off a high-fashion tomboy look.

DIFFICULT TIMES

Singer Monica has not always lived a life simply filled with glam and high fashion. One difficult experience she had to live through was being an eyewitness to one of her ex-boyfriend's suicide, but she hasn't let that stop her, expressing:

"I'm not a victim, I'm a victor."

Speaking about her reality show, "Monica: Still Standing", the singer said that she wanted to convey a sense of strength to her audience. This could be because she herself has gone through experiences that required her to be tough.

DIVORCE PROCEEDINGS

Monica has also had to suffer through a divorce from her now-former husband and ex-NBA player Shannon Brown. This followed almost a decade of marriage.

The singer said that her children didn't take the divorce too well because they couldn't really comprehend what was happening. She claimed that she was very honest with her kids about the proceedings.

This singer seems incredibly tough, having claimed to not see herself as a victim, wanting to exude strength on her show, and staying strong for her kids in the divorce. However, she has admitted that looks can be deceiving.

In fact, she revealed that out of her entire family, she views herself as the most sensitive individual. She continued, saying that almost anything can get her tear ducts working such as hurt children as well as death.
