Princess Eugenie shared a sweet photo of her 4-week-old son and a throwback picture of her mother in celebration of her first Mother's Day with her son August.

Princess Eugenie commemorated her first Mother's Day with her newborn son, August Philip Hawke, by sharing an adorable photo of the 4-week-old baby lying outside surrounded by flowers.

ENJOYING MOTHERHOOD

Princess Eugenie is celebrating every milestone with her son as the first-time mother is embracing the big and small moments with her child. She captioned her post:

"I'm so excited to be August's mum and as you can see I'm enjoying my first Mother’s Day."⁣

Baby August lying in between the yellow daffodils with his face turned away made for a picture-perfect moment that his mother couldn't resist sharing with her 1.4 million Instagram followers.

WELCOMING BABY AUGUST

Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank welcomed the newest royal baby on February 9, 2021. The new mom gave birth at The Portland Hospital with her husband present to support her.

The Sussex's second child will join their son Archie Mountbatten-Windsor and is expected to arrive this summer.

August is Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip's ninth great-grandchild, but Princess Eugenie's parents, Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, are first-time grandparents.

 CHOOSING THE NAME

Princess Eugenie and her husband didn't immediately release their first child's name but eventually let the public in on their choice, which honors 99-year-old Prince Philip.

30-year-old Princess Eugenie revealed that they chose Philip as their son's middle name as a tribute to her grandfather whilst he was admitted to hospital after feeling unwell. The royal shared

" Thinking of my grandfather, we are introducing our little boy. He is named after his great grandfather and both of his great x5 grandfathers."

CLOSE TO THE GRANDPARENTS

The new parents and their firstborn have been living in Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's Windsor home, Frogmore Cottage, close to Windsor Castle, where Queen Elizabeth has been residing during the pandemic.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex lent Princess Eugenie and her family their home when they left England for Canada before moving to the United States of America.

Prince Andrew's daughter isn't the only one who has added to the royal family, with Markle and Prince Harry announcing that they are expecting their second child.

The Sussex's second child will join their son Archie Mountbatten-Windsor and is expected to arrive this summer. The couple announced their second pregnancy with a black and white photo of Markle cradling her bump, lying on Harry's leg.
