See 'Grey's Anatomy' Stars Sarah Drew & Jesse Williams' Selfie as They Reunite after 3 Years

Grey’s Anatomy” returnee Sarah Drew confirmed that she was a part of the long-running show again after sharing a new photo of her and fellow star Jesse Williams on set.

“Grey’s Anatomy “ stars Sarah Drew and Jesse Williams have reunited for an episode of the show after Drew was away from the show for three years. The star confirmed she was back with a post on Instagram.

In the one-photo post, the former TV couple looked radiant, warming up to each other and posing for the selfie. Both stayed protected, with Drew sporting a surgical face mask while Williams opted for a black face mask.

Although their full expression could not be seen, anyone viewing the photo would decipher that they presented bright smiles, as the light shone a bit bright in their eyes. She captioned the post with some love emojis:

“Nbd. Not excited at all…”

Back when she was a regular on the show, the “Christmas in Vienna” actress played Dr. April Kepner, the former wife of Williams’ Dr. Jackson Avery. The pair had a daughter.

[Drew] was first introduced on “Grey’s Anatomy” in its sixth season.

When Drew, 40, exited “Grey’s Anatomy” in its 14th season, she was quite optimistic, making it known in an interview that she would never say never to reprising her role again. She, however, noted that she said goodbye to her “April Kepner” role.

Well, it seems it’s “never say goodbye” as well, as now she would be returning for a guest appearance in the new season, which is the 17th season. When Drew was absent on the show, her TV spouse was vocal about wanting her to return.

The TV actress was first introduced on “Grey’s Anatomy” in its sixth season when Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital merged with Mercy West. In her final episode, Drew’s character married Matthew Taylor.

Although she divorced Williams’ character in the series, he has hinted at his wish for them to reunite. Williams shared that the characters were incredible together and were a great couple.

The April character [played by Sarah Drew] revolved around her love and romance dynamics with Jackson [played by Jesse Williams] and Matthew [played by Justin Bruening], where she first ditched Matthew to be with Jackson.

However, she ended up leaving Jackson’s to be with the former. At the end of season 14, April made it known that she was leaving the hospital to further her career in providing health care for the homeless.
