Gabrielle Union's Daughter Kaavia Shows Swimming Skills as She Jumps into a Pool in This Video
Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade's daughter Kaavia James might be a tot, but her swimming skills are better than an average person's. This video of her day in the pool proves it.
With summer just around the corner, Kaavia James has been spending more time in the pool. The internet's favorite shady baby's swimming skills are on the next level.
In an Instagram video shared by her mother Gabrielle Union, the four-year-old wore a colorful swimsuit and extended her arms while singing the birthday song.

"Jump!" exclaimed Kaavia as she jumped into the water. Another two frames of the baby girl expertly plunging into the water followed. At one point, she got rid of the swimsuit and jumped again.
In the last frame, Kaavia kept her head underwater and swam like that for nearly 10 seconds before emerging above with a big smile. Pretty impressive!
"Seems like just yesterday I saw the post of her first swimming lessons," one fan commented. "First off, this baby swims better than me," another fan shared.
Union has had over seven miscarriages in the past.
Kaavia is full of surprises. She has been taking swimming lessons since 2019 when she was not even a year old. Her underwater success did not come in one day.
Kaavia was born to Union and her husband Dwyane Wade on November 7, 2018, via surrogate. She is the couple's first child together. Wade has three other children — Zaire, Zaya, Xavier — from his previous relationships.
After Kaavia's birth, the couple took to Instagram to announce the happy news, but much to their dismay, they were met with backlash from netizens who thought it was Union who gave birth.
The couple made the announcement alongside photos of Union resting on a hospital bed with Wade. The former basketball star said people were displeased and thought the content was deceiving.
Before opting for surrogacy, Union tried to get pregnant but was not able to carry a child. She opened up about her struggles in her memoir "We're Going to Need More Wine."
Union has had over seven miscarriages in the past. Motherhood was not something that she wanted to explore until she got married to Wade and bonded with his kids.
