Schilling also once reportedly admitted her love for children, noting that she enjoys being around them.

They immediately felt an instant spark and attraction towards each other. However, rumors of the romance were not confirmed, with details surrounding their alleged relationship remaining very vague. Schilling, however, had a thing or two to say about it.

CAN'T FIT IN A BOX

In 2017, Schilling sat down for an interview with the Evening Standard, and there, she opened up about a lot of things ranging from self-identity to her acting career.

Before then, Schilling had never publicly spoken about her personal life. For the actress, public knowledge of what was going on with her was simply too invasive.

Speaking of her sexuality, Schilling described herself as an expansive person, adding that no part of her can be labeled contrary to what society expects. The actress continued saying:

"I really don't fit into a box — that's too reductive."

At the time, Schilling admitted she was single but quickly added that she experienced a lot of love from the wonderful relationships she had in the past.

When asked whether she wanted a family, Schilling could not give a direct response, noting that even though she craved stability, she was not sure what it looked like yet.

HER COMING OUT

While Schilling might not have known what stability meant in 2017, it would not be long before she would find out. In 2020, the actress officially came out as queer and introduced the world to her girlfriend, Emily Ritz.

Schilling and Ritz reportedly met through a mutual friend and developed a friendship that later became something more in late 2019 when they started dating.

In celebration of Pride month last June, Ritz took to social media, sharing an adorable photo of the couple while adding that she couldn't be more proud to be by Schilling's side.

As a show of love to her partner, Schilling also reposted the cute post, and this was followed by several good wishes from their loved ones and fans who had long been curious.

HER THOUGHTS ON HAVING KIDS

As with a lot of women, especially the popular ones, several questions have been raised about whether Schilling wants to have children someday or not.

In 2014, the actress who once worked as a nanny expressed her love for children but added that becoming a mom was not part of her immediate plans.

Schilling also once reportedly admitted her love for children, noting that she enjoys being around them. Though the actress is yet to have a kid of her own, there is no doubt she will make a fantastic mom!

"ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK" STAR

Schilling is most popular for her role as Piper Chapman in the 2013 series "Orange Is the New Black." There she warmed her way into the hearts of many with her excellent acting and delivery.

The series landed 21 Emmy nominations in its seven seasons, winning only four, including the "Outstanding Casting for a Comedy Series" category.

Since its final season in 2019, stars of the show have continued to make the most of their fame, appearing in several movies and television shows.

Without a doubt, most of the cast members, including Schilling, have taken their talents to the next level as they continue to make a lasting legacy for themselves in the industry.
