New Mom Princess Eugenie Marks Her 31st Birthday with a Special Message from the Queen

Princess Eugenie is celebrating her birthday as a mother, and her grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, was sure to make her feel special on her big day.

The royal family's Instagram page dedicated a post to Princess Eugenie to celebrate her 31st birthday, paired with a lovely photo of the royal.

The post was accompanied by a heartfelt message of congratulations for Princess Eugenie as she celebrates her first birthday as a mother.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

The royal family chose a beautiful photo of Queen Elizabeth's granddaughter to post as a tribute for her birthday, showing her in an emerald green outfit at the Royal Ascot in 2019.

The new mother was doted on by her family as they penned a sweet message for her big day, including a balloon and cake emoji to portray their heartfelt congratulations. The caption reads:

"?? Wishing Princess Eugenie a very happy birthday today!"

SPECIAL BOND

Prince Andrew's daughter is known to have a particularly close relationship with both of her grandparents. Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank even paid tribute to Prince Philip when naming their firstborn.

Ferguson and her ex-husband Prince Andrew still reside together at the Royal Lodge in Windsor despite being divorced.

The first-time parents decided to name their son August Philip Hawke Brooksbank, which is a special nod to his 99-year-old great-grandfather Prince Philip.

KEEPING TRADITION ALIVE

31-year-old Princess Eugenie and her husband enjoy keeping the traditions of the royal family alive. Just as Princess Eugenie was born in Portland Hospital in 1990, she delivered her son there 30 years later.

August was born on February 9, 2021, and the couple announced his name a few weeks later. The royal took to her Instagram page to share the little one's name and where it comes from, saying:

"We are introducing our little boy. He is named after his great grandfather and both of his great x5 grandfathers."

SARAH JOINS IN

Princess Eugenie's mother, Sarah Ferguson, also joined in on her daughter's birthday joy as she shared a video montage showing a sweet message for her daughter.

The Duchess of York paired the video with two throwback pictures, showing her daughter as a little girl. The mother and daughter are sure to celebrate together as they live close to one another.

Ferguson and her ex-husband Prince Andrew still reside together at the Royal Lodge in Windsor despite being divorced. This allows the Duchess of York easy access to her daughter and grandson who live at Frogmore Cottage.

Princess Eugenie and Brooksbank moved into Frogmore Cottage when Meghan Markle and Prince Harry agreed to lend the royal couple their Windsor residence whilst they live abroad.
