Celebrities Pay Tribute to 'Arrested Development' Star Jessica Walter after Her Death
Following iconic Emmy-winning actress Jessica Walter's death on Wednesday, many celebrities have paid tribute to her on social media. She was 80-years-old.
Walter is remembered for the fond memories she created while starring in many television series, sitcoms, and movies, including "Amy Prentiss," "Arrested Development," and "The Flamengo Kid."
On Wednesday, award-winning actress Jessica Walter died in her sleep at her home in New York City. Following the news of her passing, many of her "Arrested Development" co-stars and other celebrities have taken turns in paying tribute to her.

Portia de Rossi, who portrayed Walter's character, Lucille Bluth's adopted daughter, Lindsay Bluth Funke, in "Arrested Development," took to her Instagram page to share a picture of both of them, captioning it:
"Jess...Gangee...my pal, my TV mom...I adored you. xxx #jessicawalter #arresteddevelopment."
Many other Hollywood stars have also shared tributes to Walter in the wake of her death. A spokesperson from 20th Century Television described her spectacular role as the devilish Lucille Bluth as one of the great comedic performances of television history.
Tony Hale, who also starred in "Arrested Development" as Walter's son, Buster Bluth, called her a force and noted that her talent and timing were unmatched.
Curtis raised a glass in a toast to Walter for her portrayal of Mallory and the great array of work she did.
Jason Bateman, who played her other son, Michael Bluth, said she had an incredible career filled with spectacular performances, adding that he will never forget his time with her.
David Cross, who portrayed Tobias Funke, her son-in-law in the series, also described her as an absolutely brilliant actress and amazing talent.
Walter's famous fan, Maren Morris, also paid tribute to her via a tweet, where she recalled one of the deceased actress's funniest lines from "Arrested Development."
Another of Walter's famous fans, Viola Davis, also expressed her love for the actress in a tweet. Davis wrote: "Oh man!! I loved you Jessica Walter. I grew up watching you AND admiring you. Always consistently excellent. Rest well ?."
Walter is also fondly remembered for her most recent role as Mallory Archer in the animated series "Archer." Actress Jamie Lee Curtis, who plays Agent Bruchstein on the series, also paid tribute to Walter.
She took to her Instagram page to share an animated picture of the series' cast. Accompanying the picture was a caption in which Curtis raised a glass in a toast to Walter for her portrayal of Mallory and the great array of work she did.
