Amy Schumer Dazzles in One of Her Best Dresses as She Gets the COVID-19 Vaccine
Amy Schumer shared that she received her vaccine, and she wore a sparkly dress for her appointment in a new video on her Instagram feed.
Amy Schumer received her COVID-19 vaccination, and she shared a video of her experience on her Instagram. In the caption, she revealed that she wore her best dress for the occasion for a special reason.
Schumer wore a sparkly gold dress for her appointment and shared that it was to pay respect to health workers and show them that they are valued and important.

It is part of a campaign to raise money for Pencils 4 kids. Schumer encouraged others to #downtogown and wear their best suits or dresses to their vaccine appointments.
She wrote that Guy Oseary would donate $5 to the campaign for each photo posted with the hashtag. Schumer explained her decision to wear her nicest dress to her vaccination:
"If you want to join me and support @pencils4kids take a pick of yourself getting the vaccine in your best suite or nicest dress."
She used the opportunity to share that she was thankful to all the brave doctors and nurses in the medical field. She added that she loved New York and the people, including the annoying ones.
Like many other people across the world, Schumer's family was impacted by COVID-19. This month she shared that her two-year-old son, Gene, was able to visit her father, who he had not seen for almost a year.
The pair were married in 2018 and welcomed their son in May 2019. They actually celebrated their third anniversary this year.
The comedian's dad, Gordon, has multiple sclerosis. So with his pre-existing condition and the social distancing restrictions, their family had been kept apart for several months.
Schumer shared a photo of herself holding Gene while Gordon sits in his wheelchair next to them. Gordon and his grandson wore matching checkered shirts in the adorable photo. Schumer wrote:
"Big day, First real visit with my dad in a year."
The "Trainwreck" actress also shared adorable photos of her son dressed up in a multi-colored tracksuit while playing in a local park. She also shared a photo of her little family enjoying a fountain.
Schumer shares her son with her husband, Chris Fisher. The pair were married in 2018 and welcomed their son in May 2019. They actually celebrated their third anniversary this year.
To mark the occasion, Schumer shared a selfie of herself and her husband wearing masks. She wore a black wide-brimmed hat for the photo, while he opted for a blue beanie.
Schumer uses her Instagram account to share updates on her family, her newest project, raise awareness about social issues, and pull fun at other celebrities. Recently she got into a bit of trouble for making fun of Hilaria Baldwin.
