'Dancing with the Stars' Is Back for Season 30 — Fans Don't Want Tyra Banks Hosting the Show
"Dancing with the Stars" is back for its 30th season, much to the delight of viewers. However, fans do not want Tyra Banks hosting the show for another season.
"Dancing with the Stars" will be having a 30th season. However, fans have been vocal about not wanting to see Tyra Banks host the new season after she hosted the show for the first time last season.
The ABC celebrity dancing competition announced on its social media platform's that a new season of the beloved show would be out in fall 2021. Fans quickly made their opinions on who should host the show heard.
Many do not want to see Banks host another episode. Many expressed that they would prefer to see the show's previous and longtime host, Tom Bergeron, return as host.
One user wrote on Twitter if the "American's Next Top Model" creator was returning to the show as host, then they could cut out her catwalk and most of her talking. The tweet read:
"But she took too much time talking. If she’s the host can you cut her catwalk and 75% of her talking?"

Although the user did not like how much screen time Banks got last season, they did write that they felt that season 29 was the best cast "DWTS" has had. Last season Kaitlyn Bristowe and Artem Chigvintsev won the Mirrowbowl.
On Instagram, users also shared their opinion of Banks. One wrote that hopefully, the show would return without Banks, and another said Banks should watch the show from her home.
Banks is signed on for the next season along with the judge panelists.
Of course, Banks is aware of the criticism the show has received about her hosting. Banks is aware of the big shoes she had to fill and called the show a legacy and a piece of Americana.
However, she does not let the negative comments get to her as she explained no positive comes out of getting involved in the hateful comments. The TV host explained:
"I know it exists, but what good does that do, participating in that? I don’t think there’s anything really positive from that."

Banks replaced Bergeron ahead of season 29. The show's Executive Producer Andrew Llinares said the decision to hire Banks as the host came out of a want to refresh the show and appeal to a new audience.
Llinares believes the addition of Banks has changed the pace of the show. He explained that the decision took the show to a new place and made it move faster and feel different.
Although fans might not agree with Llinares, Banks has signed on for the next season, and the judge panelists, which will be made up of Len Goodman, Derek Hough, and Carrie Ann Inaba.
Bergeron actually implied that he would not be returning to the show. He said that "DWTS" fans who say they will not watch until he returns are mistaken as there is no until.
