Actress Viola Davis took to her Instagram page to share a beautiful black-and-white picture showing her, her husband, and her daughter leaving the church.

Actress Viola Davis warmed her fans' hearts on Sunday with a beautiful picture of her husband, Julius Tennon, and their daughter, Genesis, leaving the church.

In the adorable black-and-white photo, Davis, Tennon, and Genesis were all smiles as they walked out from their church, "Church of God in Christ."

In the snapshot, Davis posed between her husband and daughter. She wore a white gown and carried a bag in her hand. She matched her outfit with high heels and accessorized it with a bangle.

She held Genesis's hand as she posed. The latter wore a polka dot gown and looked radiantly beautiful, while Tennon wore a suit over a white shirt and black shoes. In the post's caption, Davis wrote:

"When @iamreginaking asked @violadavis to include her husband, Julius Tennon, and their daughter, Genesis, in W's Directors Issue shoot..."

Davis further described Genesis, 10, as a typical Gen Z kid obsessed with Billie Eilish and TikTok, adding that her daughter is also a fan of Regina King.

She also narrated how Genesis expressed delight at meeting King. The 10-year-old gushed over how she was speaking to a legend, though King told her that her mom, Davis is also a legend.

She is determined to keep Genesis grounded and makes her clean her room

Davis and Tennon adopted Genesis as an infant in 2011. She is also a stepmom to his children from previous relationships. Last December, the actress revealed how she had a good laugh over her daughter's pricey Christmas list.

According to her, last Christmas marked the first time the cute Genesis would be making such a list. After viewing the things on the list, Davis told her daughter she would not get 98% of the things on it.

Among the things on the list were an iPhone and a camera with a tripod. The "Ma Rainey's Black Bottom" actress asked Genesis if she knew how much the iPhone cost, adding that she would not spend $365 on the phone.

Davis, who grew up in poverty before attaining fame, revealed she is determined to keep Genesis grounded and makes her clean her room, take care of her fish, among other things.

Davis and Tennon, an actor and producer, have been married since June 2002. Despite their marriage being almost two decades old, the couple continues to go strong to this day.

In a chat with People, the 55-year-old actress revealed she soaks in the bathtub with Tennon every night as they have made it a priority to keep the romance alive in their marriage. However, she joked that he falls asleep with his mouth open sometimes.
