In society's standards, women have been tasked to take care of children while men go out to work. When this mom-to-be tried to break such standards, she was met with opposition from family members.

Jennie and Jackson are both 26 and are expecting their first child in June. Both of them work full time and have decided that daycare is not an option once their child is born.

Jackson currently works an hour away from their home, making $800-900 a week. Meanwhile, Jennie makes $1800-1900 a week while working the same hours.

Ultimately, Jennie decided it would be best for her to go back to work after having their baby. However, Jackson's family believes it is unfair that she is making him quit the job that he loves to babysit.

In his family's eyes, it is a mother's responsibility to look after the baby. To them, it is unnatural and cruel for the father to be doing the caregiving while the mom is out to work.

Jackson's family went so far as to say they should put the baby in a daycare near their place if Jennie was so against looking after him.

Now, Jennie is wondering whether she is being a bad mom for wanting to go back to work. She is also starting to doubt their plans, questioning if it is wrong for Jackson to quit his job.

While his family is against the plan, Jackson himself is actually in favor of staying at home. It was his idea at first, and he is super excited to be a dad. He also wanted to use the time to start a business.

Jackson's family disapproved of this as well and went so far as to say they should put the baby in a daycare near their place if Jennie was so against looking after him.

Considering the fact that Jennie earns more than Jackson, she thought this decision would be the most beneficial for their family. Is she selfish for making that decision? What do you think she should do?

While both Jennie and Jackson decided on the situation together, another couple went through something worse. In this story, Natalie blindsided Miguel about a life-changing decision she made.
