Katharine McPhee Shares Her Thoughts on Motherhood after Welcoming Son Rennie

New mom Katharine McPhee opened up about her motherhood experience one month after welcoming her son Rennie with her husband, David Foster. She described it as the "greatest job" of her life.

In February, Katharine McPhee added a new title when she welcomed son Rennie David Foster with her singer husband, David Foster. Now, more than a month after, she is opening up about how motherhood has treated her.

Last week, the glowing mother made an appearance on "The Kelly Clarkson" show and gushed about her baby boy. She revealed that the adorable toddler just became four weeks and a day old.

When asked by host Kelly Clarkson if she felt tired, McPhee admitted that she was a bit stressed but always managed to find moments to take a nap. The "Scorpion" actress then said about Rennie:

"He's such a good little baby, and I'm so in love ... It's my greatest job I'll ever have."

Clarkson, a mother-of-two, agreed with her confession before adding that it would also be her most challenging job. The two women then joked about how hard it becomes to get mad at your kids because of how adorable they are.

Last week, McPhee made headlines when she flaunted her postpartum body.

Baby Rennie was born on February 24. McPhee and Foster announced their boy's birth in a statement, noting that both mother and son were faring excellently. The duo was thrilled to expand their family.

About a week after his birth, an insider shared how McPhee was faring as a new mother. The insider noted that the "American Idol" alum was over the moon about Rennie as she has always wanted to become a mom.

The source said she was doing a fantastic job of balancing motherhood with her Netflix project, "Country Comfort." Rennie is the first child of the actress and the sixth child for the "Winter Games" crooner.

Foster is already a father to daughters Sara, Erin, and Jo — from his second marriage to Rebecca Dyer — alongside Allison and Amy, whom he welcomed during his previous relationships.
