Kara Keough sweetly honored her beloved son McCoy on his first heavenly birthday. The “Real Housewives of Orange County” star took to Instagram to pay tribute to her late boy in a series of tear-jerking uploads.

The clip which had Hillsong United’s “Highlands (Song of Ascent)” showed Keough and Bosworth holding on to their baby boy while he was in the incubator. A heartbreaking moment saw the reality star crying as she cradled her son.
About two months after the tragic incident, Keough memorialized her son.
The 32-year-old followed up the post with an adorable black-and-white image of baby McCoy tucked in a blanket. In the accompanying caption, Keough got candid about her loss and grief, writing:
“A year ago today, I screamed you into this world. I begged God to let me hear you scream back. Instead, there was silence from you..."
Keough revealed that her heart was shattered in that instant and the joy that comes after birth immediately dissipated. The heartbroken mom recalled how she cradled her belly earlier that day, inviting McCoy to come into the world.
Keough wrote that when she heard the sound of what seemed like a rubber band snap, she was thrilled and learned three hours later that her son had been born. She described it as “the most wonderful experience followed by the worst.”
The reality star shared that the next six days were harrowing, and now that it is McCoy’s first posthumous birthday, she can’t help but think about what kind of little boy he would be and how their story would have been different.
Keough concluded by thanking McCoy for teaching her the meaning of unconditional love. Fans may recall that on April 14, 2020, the television personality and her husband shared the devastating news of McCoy’s demise.
Keough explained in an Instagram post that McCoy arrived on April 6 but experienced “shoulder dystocia and a compressed umbilical cord” during the course of his delivery. She noted that he would live in their hearts forever.
About two months after the tragic incident, Keough memorialized her son by getting a permanent tattoo made with his ashes. She showed off a bold letter M inscribed on her arm as she held a stuffed bear.
During the recently-concluded Easter celebration, Keough and Bosworth announced that they are expecting another child in a miraculous twist of fate. She described the great news as a representation of “renewed hope.”
