Diana Ross' ex, Robert Ellis, finally got to have a father-daughter date with his daughter Tracee Ellis Ross after being apart for a while due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and this is how it went.

Tracee Ellis Ross, along with her father Robert Ellis, took to their respective Instagram pages to share a heartwarming video after being vaccinated and not seeing each other for a while.

Despite not having her mother and father together while growing up, Ross has established an eye-catching relationship with her father, Robert Ellis.

The singer shared the video where she expressed joy seeing her father after they had been vaccinated and had been distant from each other for a while due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The video had Ellis walking out of a building looking very excited. He said he needed to get used to seeing his daughter after the time spent apart. Ross concurred by suggesting they go for a walk. The duo held each other's hands as they walked.

Ellis, on his Instagram page, shared a snapshot of him and his daughter standing by the sea. He wore a white shirt with a pair of glasses and rocked his white hair while Ross looked stunning in a black top, and the duo smiled gracefully at the camera.

Following the turnout of events, one could say luck was not on her side as the couple split in 2000.

In the caption that accompanied the posts, Ross said, "I finally got to see my dad. Oh what a hug that was. We went for a walk in the central park together, and we talked and talked. Vaccinated and outside but we still stayed masked up."

Despite not constantly seen together in pictures, it is obvious that Ross loves her father. One of the reasons for this came to the limelight following an interview with Refinery29.

She revealed that her dad was hilarious, but the ability for him to see the humor in life was what she admired most about him. The icing on the cake for the 48-year-old would have been seeing her parents settle their differences and reunite.

Ross's parents, Diana Ross and Ellis, despite describing their relationship as love at first sight, called it quits in 1977. However, the former couple did a perfect job co-parenting their children.

Diana found love again in 1985 when she got married to Arne Naes Jr. Following the turnout of events, one could say luck was not on her side as the couple split in 2000.

The marriage was blessed with two children, Evan Ross and Ross Naess, making Diana a proud mother of 5 kids. Despite not having luck with marriage, she decided to focus on motherhood.
