Ashley Cain Gives an Update on His Daughter Azaylia's Health Amid Her Battle with leukemia

Former professional football player Ashley Cain gave fans an update on the health of his 8-month-old daughter Azaylia Diamond who battles blood cancer.

Ashley Cain revealed doctors informed him and his girlfriend, Safiyya Vorajee, that their baby girl only has days to live. Azaylia recently experienced complications in her ongoing struggle with a rare and aggressive form of cancer, leukemia.

In an Instagram Story video shared on April 22, Cain told his followers that his child suffered a seizure following a hospital visit with her nasogastric tube.

AZALYIA’S CONDITION

According to the 30-year-old, his daughter seemed fine when she underwent a platelet transfusion and had her NB tube, which assists her in consuming food and medicine, fixed during the doctors' visit.

Yet, after leaving the hospital, Azaylia’s condition worsened. Cain said as soon as they reached the car, "she had a spike in temperature, and like a seizure, so her eyes were rolling," he recalled.

He continued to explain that she was hot and was not breathing. They had to put her back on her oxygen instantly to reduce her rise in temperature while on their way back home.

“Then when we got home, it happened again. We ended up having a nurse at the palliative care team at our house until 1 a.m.," the reality star shared.

BEING APPRECIATIVE

The "Ex on the Beach UK" star also opened up about being grateful to spend another day with his ailing daughter. In March, the couple took their little angel back home after doctors told them that they could not do anything for their child's condition.

At the time, Cain took to Instagram to share a photo cuddling up to his Azaylia in bed and kissed her cheek while she was deep in her sleep wearing pajamas.

MAKING MEMORIES

Although the doctors told him and his partner that their child only has days left of her precious life, he posted and said he and his family are not keeping tabs on the number of days but try to make their time with her count.

Cain got candid about seeing his child suffering and said it is the hardest thing to see her struggling while waiting in great pain for the inevitable fate.

CASTINGS FOR BABY AZALYIA

The mother of his child also took to her Instagram Story, sharing a gallery of photos of their little girl while revealing that she and Cain were having castings made of their daughter's feet.

The 34-year-old shared a video of herself dancing along with her little girl, saying she wakes up daily to give her 100% with the warm love and positive energy that she is used to.
