Like every proud parent, Kate Middleton has documented the important milestones of her three children, Prince George, seven, Princess Charlotte, five, and Prince Louis, who turned three on April 23, 2021.

One of those big milestone days is the first day of school. This April, Prince Louis attended his first day of nursery school as his parents shared the occasion with a new photo of him for his third birthday.

In the photo, Prince Louis looked very smart in khaki shorts, a blue sweater, and a striped black and white shirt visible through the top of his sweater. He posed on his red bicycle for the photo.

The Cambridges shared the photo of him to celebrate his birthday and his first day of school. Fans of the family took to the comment section to wish him good luck. The caption of the adorable photo read:

Louis is attending the same nursery his older sister attended, the Willcocks Nursery School. The school is located close to the Royal Albert Hall and costs £3,400 per term.

Princess Charlotte's first day of nursery school was in 2018 on January 8. Louis's late starting date might have been affected by the UK's recent lockdown. George also started nursery school in January on his first day in 2016.

The oldest Cambridge child, Prince George, went to a different nursery than his younger siblings.

For her first day, Charlotte wore an adorable red coat and matching baby doll shows. She kept warm with a pink scarf and looked smart with an adorable red bow in her hair.

Like her younger brother, Charlotte flashed the camera her adorable and pretty smile as she looked excited for her first day of school. Middleton also captured the photo herself as the caption read:

"The images were taken by The Duchess shortly before Princess Charlotte left for her first day of nursery at the Willcocks Nursery School."

The oldest Cambridge child, Prince George, went to a different nursery than his younger siblings. He attended Westacre Montessori School Nursery in Norfolk, close to the family's country home at Anmer Hall.

In his photo from 2016, a younger Prince George looked more nervous for his first day than his siblings. However, he still looked adorable in a navy blue jacket with a plaid lining in the hood.

All three children looked ready for their respective first days as they looked at the camera and posed with their backpacks which coordinated with their outfits well.

The three siblings followed their dad and uncle's schooling by attending a private school. It is assumed that the move was decided by Princess Diana, who worked at a nursery school before marrying Prince Charles.
