Daily Mail: Meghan Markle's Body Language Decoded by Expert during Vax Live Event
This month, Duchess Meghan was one of the celebrities that took part in Global Citizen’s VAX Live event. Experts have since deciphered the royal’s body language during her appearance.
On Saturday, the Global Citizen’s VAX Live telecast aired with a pre-recorded message from Duchess Meghan, 39. This was her first American television appearance since her tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey.
The event also included her husband, Prince Harry, who physically attended the event while his wife appeared virtually from their California mansion. Many other stars spoke and performed at the concert.

Besides the royals, people like Selena Gomez, Ben Affleck, Chrissy Teigen, David Letterman, Jimmy Kimmel, Nomzamo Mbatha, Olivia Munn, Sean Penn, Jennifer Lopez, Eddie Vedder, and more participated.
The concert's goal was to reunite the world amid the COVID-19 pandemic and encourage people to get vaccinated. YouTube exclusively streamed the event, while Meghan spoke towards the end of it.
According to a body language expert who spoke to “Daily Mail,” the royal appeared to be “nervous” in her recording. Judi James also shared how Meghan seemed to be elegant and regal in her appearance.
When she mentioned herself and her husband in her speech, James felt she sounded formal. Harry’s wife had allegedly copied that signature quote from the Queen, and her pose endorsed her style of presentation.
James also noted how Meghan sported a maternal smile that showed she was kind. In contrast to his wife, Harry showed off his confidence on the concert’s stage and was at ease as he worked the crowd.
The expert felt Meghan had a similar pose to the one she had during her March 2021 Winfrey interview. She allegedly showed that she was nervous by rubbing her thumb to comfort herself.
James noted how regal the gesture was and as one that was a favorite for Harry’s mother-in-law, Duchess Camilla. However, the body language expert felt Meghan seemed to relax a bit as the recording continued.
As a campaign chair for VAX Live, James shared how Meghan showed off some passion for her cause. At one point, the Duchess partly raises her finger to show control and subtly tilted her head.
“Express” noted how Harry’s wife also decided to pay tribute to his late mother, Princess Diana, during her appearance. The publication noted how Meghan wore Diana’s Cartier Tank Française watch on her left hand.
Speaking of reactions, James also noted how the Queen needed reassurance at Prince Philip’s funeral. However, Harry and his brother Prince William gave separate statements about his death amid their rift.
