LL Cool J's Wife Simone Celebrates His Upcoming Induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame

Apart from acknowledging how exciting it was that her husband got inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Simone I. Smith also made a lovely cake to celebrate the event.

American superstar LL Cool J's wife Simone Smith was all too excited to celebrate her 53-year-old husband who just got inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Simone shared a short clip on her Instagram page, which displayed a lovely decorated cake covered in black with a touch of gold chain-like design right on the cake.

In the video, LL Cool J's grandson, King James, who could not hide his excitement, made a witty comment about the microphone on the cake.

The beautiful cake also had a picture of the superstar rapper's image with an inscribed Rock and Roll Hall of Fame logo by the side. Simone captioned the clip:

"Kingy trying to eat grandad's cake 🎂🤣."

LL Cool J's induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is coming after he has been nominated on six previous occasions and is a testament to his hard work.

Reacting to his induction, he noted that nothing is impossible and that people can achieve whatever they put their minds to.

Besides his successful career story, the legendary rapper has also been lucky with his marriage.

The rapper was born James Todd Smith but opted for the nickname LL Cool J, which means Ladies Love Cool James, for his professional career.

He began his musical career in hip-hop after being signed to Def Jam Records in 1984 and was able to have strings of hits with several albums. One of his albums, "Mama Said Knock You Out," became his bestseller to date.

LL Cool J won his first Grammy Award in 1991 for Best Rap Solo Performance. While exploring his talents, the rapper dabbled into acting and has featured in several award-winning movies, including the popular Investigative TV series "NCIS: Los Angeles."

Besides his successful career story, the legendary rapper has also been lucky with his marriage. He has been married to Simone for 25 years. LL Cool J and Simone were lovers for eight years before getting married.

Their union is blessed with four lovely children. The oldest of their children is son, Najee Smith, a photographer. Meanwhile, their youngest child and daughter, Nina Symone Smith, followed her father's musical path.

LL Cool J and Simone's middle children, daughters Italia, 25, and Samaria, 30, stayed off showbiz. Italia is a real estate agent, while Samaria owns a denim label.
