Mom Brought Home a Young Boyfriend – Story of the Day

A young woman whose mother starts dating a younger man whom she believes is a gold digger and decides to end the relationship.

Sarah Korvo was furious when she learned that her mother was dating again, and a much younger man. She was sure that the man was using her mother and after her money.

Sarah decided that she wasn't going to stand for it. There had to be a way to unmask the gold digger, open up her mother's eyes. Come what may, whether her mother liked it or not, Sarah was going to break up the romance.

It all started on the day her mother first brought home a tall, handsome man, a little older than Sarah. Her mother, a tall slim, pretty woman in her mid forty's smiled and said:

"Sarah, I'd like you to meet Eric..."

Sarah was irritated. "Honestly, mom, I've asked you not to set me up with guys!" She turned to Eric and smiled apologetically, "Look, I'm sure you're very nice, but I'm not interested in dating right now!"

Sarah's mom, Lily, laughed. No, silly! Eric and I are in love! We are thinking about getting married soon."

"Married? You're marrying this BOY? Come on mom!"

Lily turned to Eric "Eric, would you mind getting me some water? The kitchen is to the left."

Eric smiled and gently kissed Lily. "Of course. I'll leave you two to talk." Lily sat down and looked sadly at her daughter.

Sarah started plotting. There had to be a way to show up that gold digger.

"I was hoping you'd be happy for me, Sarah. I've been through so much, this is a new beginning for me."

"For God's sake, mom! Can't you see what he's after? All he wants is your money!"

"You don't think anyone could love me for myself? Is that what you think, Sarah?"

"No, of course not! An older man, maybe...Sure, that's it, an older man would find you attractive. But Eric! You're twice his age! If it's not money, what could he possibly want? Unless he has mommy issues!"

"That's enough! You can accept Eric, or you can move in with your father, Sarah. That's final!"

"My father! Maybe that is what this is all about! You want to show him up because he left you for a beautiful young woman..."

"Sarah, I love Eric, and Eric loves me. That is the end of this discussion."

Sarah started plotting. There had to be a way to show up that gold digger. She wanted him gone, and she definitely didn't want to move in with her father and his unbearable trophy wife.

Sarah was in her last year at university, and she was used to a luxurious lifestyle. She wasn't about to move into a campus dorm either. Sarah was not about to have "stepdad" Eric messing up her life.

Sarah dreamed up a truly diabolical scheme to prove to her mother that Eric was a gold digger. It all started with a sweet phone call to her 'stepfather,' asking him to meet her for a chat.

When Eric arrived, Sarah was waiting, dressed in a seductive outfit. "Eric," she smiled, "I'm so glad you came. I think we got off on the wrong foot, and I do so want us to be friends!"

As they chatted, Sarah kept looking deep into Eric's eyes, touching his hand, and smiling seductively. "So you are an associate at my mother's firm? WOW! That means you will get that promotion for sure!" and she winked.

Eric shrugged. "Our private life has nothing to do with work, you know, nothing at all!"

"Oh..." Sarah placed her hand on top of Eric's. "Then what does it have to do with? A handsome man like you...a woman like my mother? You don't have mommy issues, do you?"

"No, I don't," Eric replied.

"Well...My mother has excellent taste in men, and I find you VERY attractive! We could make a date...What do you think?"

"I think...Sure, Sarah...Whatever you say..."

Sarah walked out of the restaurant and headed home. She walked in. "Mom! Mom! Listen...Eric is a flirt! He came on to me..."

Sarah walked into the lounge, and there was her mother...and Eric. "I know all about that, Sarah." Lily held up Eric's phone and pressed a button. Sarah heard her own voice: "A handsome man like you...a woman like my mother? You don't have mommy issues, do you?"

"That's it Sarah, no more. If you can't be happy for me, you can move in with your father. Today!"

Sarah begged and cried, but her mother was determined she had to learn her lesson. Three months later, when her mother married Eric. Sarah was happy to be her bridesmaid and ended up becoming good friends with her new stepfather.
