Icon James Brown's Daughter Yamma Flaunts Strong DNA Showing Her Resemblance to Dad

James Brown's daughter Yamma Brown looked lovely and radiant in an up-close photo she shared on social media while flaunting the striking resemblance she holds with her iconic father.

James Brown's daughter, Yamma Brown, flaunted her ever-youthful features in a new Instagram display as she posed for a selfie and presented a sweet smile.

The one-photo post showed her posing in a car, basking in her beauty hour. Yamma styled her ombre wavy blonde hair in bohemian braids as she rocked a halter-neck knitted dress.

She covered her eyes with a pair of trendy dark shades while sporting large silver hoops. Her facial features showed her uncanny resemblance to the late James Brown. She captioned:

"It's beautiful out today in Savannah."

Brown was known for his historical influence in the American music industry. Dubbed the Godfather of Soul, he embodied that title until the time of his passing.

Despite his death, his legacy lives on. One other thing that lingers is the after-effect of the years of abuse he displayed within his family, and Yamma detailed this in her memoir, "Cold Sweat."

He wrote about how some family members also lost their lives and speculated that Brown was murdered.

The music heiress bared her soul, chronicling the years her mother, Deidre Jenkins, endured domestic violence in her father's hands and during his bouts of rage.

Yamma wrote that her father's moments of rage were regular, and they always came with times when he battered Jenkins. She also recalled the one she witnessed.

Yamma remembered being five years old when her dad battered her mom outdoors. Although she was a child, she could only feel rage, and she rushed to him to stop beating her.

That was the day Jenkins decided she was done, but the damage had already been done, and Yamma would later experience the same fate in her marriage to Darren Lumar.

Just like her mother, Yamma reached her breaking point. One fateful day, Lumar physically abused her in a very inhumane manner that led to loss of blood.

This particular feat of anger happened because Yamma refused to hand over her father's estate to him. Following the ordeal, she took the bold step to leave her marriage after ten years.

Yamma's half-brother, Daryl Brown, has also written a book about their legendary dad. While his sister delved into their dad's dark side, he wrote of the circumstances surrounding his death.

Daryl detailed the events that took place before and after Brown's death. He wrote about how some family members also lost their lives and speculated that Brown was murdered.
